Lightning Seeds, The Travelling Band, Redlight, Little Barrie, Little Comets, The Whip (DJ set), Sound Of Guns, and Dave Haslam are just some of the latest acts announced for his summer's 'Fairy Tales & Comic Books' themed Kendal Calling.

Added to the Main Stage line-up are Lightning Seeds, and The Travelling Band, with Redlight added to the Dance Tent, and The Minx, Gamu & Jack B, and Islet also confirmed.

The Calling Out line-up sees Little Barrie, Little Comets, Monument Valley, Catfish & The Bottlemen, Admiral Fallow, Hatcham Social, Trophy Wife, The Last Gambados, The Lottery Winners, The Feud, The Longsands, Cold One Hundred, Blunt Truth, The Wild Mercury Sound, The Hummingbirds, Vinyl Jacket, The Tea Street Band, and The Convulsions added to the bill.

Over on Chai Wallahs in The Kaylied Area will be Moneyshot, and Karima Francis, whilst added to The Kube line-up are Danielle Moore, Marc Roberts, Mr Sushi, Mark Abbott, Pete Thornton, Ginny Koppenhol, Just Harry, and Hip Hop Karaoke.

This year the Housparty will host The Whip (DJ set), Sound Of Guns, Dave Haslam, B>E>A>K, Mike Joyce, Will Tramp, Frazer King, Red Corner, Rumour Has It, Faceplant, Beatwolf Radio, The Carpets, Girls Big Not Out In, Wheres Strutter, Beat Boutique, Black Cat DJs, The Beat Club DJs, Andy Hunt, Rockaoke, Wolf & Bison, Jay Smith & Jamie El Muerto, and Bulletproof & Housepartys DJs.

The Soapbox stage returns with the likes of Duncan Oakley, Phil Ellis, Stuart Mitchell, Tony Basnett, Alan Anderson, Chris Brooker, Raphael Attar Variety Show, Mik Artistik, Slaughterhouse, Thingamebob & The Thingamejigs, Jolly Boat, Ray Guns Look Real Enough, Scott Bennett, Chris Purchase, Michael J Dolan, The Beta Males, Danny Pensive, Mark Rough, Not Quite Quartet, and Juan Mundo Jazz.

With just three weeks until gates open Kendal Calling has also revealed details of the all-new Woodlands Stage as well as releasing news of many more artist additions. The new undiscovered territory for late night adventures and soothing afternoons set amongst the trees. The stage will feature Nu-folk and Electro followed by a Silent Disco with visuals and AV installations! Acts confirmed for the Woodland Stage include Alpines, Jenny O., Thomas J Speight, Alex Hulme, Sweet Lights, and Bad Bad Me.

More acts are also added to the Happy Slap Boutique including FreeAr, DJM, Chris Kommissar, and of course the Happy Slap DJs. On the Songsmith Solar Stage will be A Me B, Ottersgear, Naymedici, The Genuine Articles, Flat Cap 3, Rob Shepherd, Quincey Brown, I Am Blackbird, King Twit, Molly Warburton Trio, T-Bird, Roughneck Riot, and Death To The Strange. Finally there's more acts for the Riot Jazz Stage with Victorian Dad, Dub Jazz Sound System, The Vardels, The Age Of Glass, User Friendly, Johnny Walsh, Tommy Riot, and Yossarians all added to the bill.

Friday night will be headed up by Maximo Park, Saturday night will see the return to Kendal Calling of Dizzee Rascal, and Sunday night will be closed by James. Also confirmed are Shy FX, Benga, Andy C, Dan le Sac vs Scroobius Pip, Feeder, Little Roy, Shed Seven, Jack Beats (DJ set), Dodgy, Inspiral Carpets, Utah Saints, Ms Dynamite, Vintage Trouble, Dreadzone, Twisted Wheel, 16bit, A Skillz, Phaeleh, Various Cruelties, To Kill A King, Dub Pistols (DJ Set), Juan Zelada, The Lancashire Hotpots, The Correspondents, Craig Charles, Cut A Shine, Dizraeli And The Small Gods, Hidden Orchestra, King Porter Stomp, Lazy Habits, Louis Barabbas & The Bedlam Six, Slamboree, The Monster Ceilidh Band, Yes Sir Boss, Olugbenga (Metronomy DJ Set), Bombskare, and more.

The music and activities at Kendal Calling, held at Lowther Deer Park, Hackthorpe, in East Cumbria over the weekend of Friday 27th to Sunday 29th July span 14 diverse stages and areas in a close-knit site with areas including Mainstage, GLoW dance tent, Calling Out new music stage, Chai Wallahs in the Kaylied area, Soapbox, Kids Area, Kendal Calling Real Ale Festival tent, Garden of Eden, Village Green, New Woodland area (details tba), Happy Slap boutique, Riot Jazz, Houseparty, Sailor Jerry's, Songsmith Solar stage, and new for 2012; Kopparberg Kube and Tim Peak's Diner brought to you by Tim Burgess of the Charlatans.

The family friendly event offers 3 days, plus early entry Thursday, of dancing, juggling, contortionists, comedy, site art and much more. Plus posh camping options in the revamped Emperors Fields.

Tickets have sold out an adult weekend ticket was priced at £105, a child (11-14 years) weekend ticket were priced at £50, and children under 11 can attend for free, but needed a ticket. Anyone under 17 must be accompanied by an adult.
