With just over ten weeks to go Camp Bestival has announced the addition of live acts including Ellie Goulding, Tinie Tempah, David E Sugar, Summer Camp, Martin Harley Band, Unicorn Kid, Jim Moray, Spindle & Wit , Flux Ache, Visions of Trees, Cooly Haste, and Soft Rocks.

More DJs have also been confirmed with Zero 7 who will be playing a soul and boogie set,, Balearic Brothers, Barry Ashworth (Dub Pistols), Fear of Theydon, and Tosh Ohta all added to the bill.

In other news The Gruffalo, recently voted most beloved bedtime story by BBC Radio 2 listeners, will be coming to to the festival specially adapted from Julia Donaldson and Alex Scheffler's best selling book and will be performed by Tall Stories who will bring to life the amazing story of the clever mouse with their physical story theatre.

The festival has also announced that there's another chance to enter the beardy competition that is Folk Idol - Britain's got beards!. There are three rules to appearing which are:

1) wear a false beard and/or folk costume
2) sing a classic folk song
3) get judged by a panel of folk experts

Those wishing to enter can do so at www.myspace.com/folkidol. Simply add them as a friend and drop them a message.

Completing the newly announced entertainment are Tangled Feet who will present 'I Confess' a one-to-one storytelling piece set inside a confessional booth in The Dingly Dell. Gaining audience and critical acclaim in its Edinburgh and London runs, I Confess promises a life affirming experience.

Festival organiser, Rob da Bank, said, "Anyone with a child younger than 4 or 5 will know the story of The Gruffalo ... in fact most of my mates without kids know it better than Dickens or Shakespeare which is kind of worrying yet also proof that we needed this show hot off Broadway to come to the Camp! With two shows over the weekend so no-one need miss it, this will be a highlight I'm sure. Add in the hottest tipped artist of 2010 Ellie Goulding, my old mates Zero 7 DJing, Tinie Tempah rippin' it up and ukuleles, folky beards and rave synthesisers it's all shaping up rather nicely!"

One of the best festivals in the country for families with young children, Bestival's sister festival - Camp Bestival - returns in 2010 from Friday 30th July to Sunday 1st August, the first week of the school summer holidays, at the picturesque setting of Lulworth Castle, set against the backdrop of England's dramatic Jurassic coastline in Dorset.
