The event's curator will be Belle & Sebastian.The first confirmed acts are Teenage Fanclub, Isobel Campbell With Mark Lanegan, Julian Cope, The Vaselines, The New Pornographers, Vashti Bunyan, The Apples In Stereo, Frightened Rabbit, Field Music, Howlin' Rain, Those Dancing Days, The Dutchess And The Duke, and Silver Columns with many more still to be announced.
Tickets
Tickets for Bowlie 2 are priced at £165 and a self catering room ticket is priced at £175.To buy tickets, click here.
Next week a batch of early bird tickets at a £10 per person discount (early bird £155pp room only, £165pp self catering) will then be available until the following Monday 12th April (unless they run out first). Half the allocation of early bird tickets will be available to the pre-sale.
ATP will again be running a deposit scheme for tickets. This will offer a limited number of 4 berth apartments, both room-only and self-catering to be paid for with a small deposit upfront, and the remaining amount to be paid by the end of September 2010. These chalets will be sold at full price - £165 per person room only or £175 per person self catered.
People who would like to hold a 4 berth room only, must pay a deposit of £65 per person, (£260 for the apartment). The remaining £430 must be paid by Sunday 31st January.
People who would like to hold a 4 berth self catering, must pay a deposit of £70 per person, (£280 for the apartment). The remaining £430 must be paid by Thursday 30th September. There will also be a handful of 6 berth room only and self catered available too, contact organisers for details.
Accommodation
Room Only accommodation offers either double, single or bunk beds with private bathroom and TV, but no kitchen facilities or lounge, more like a hotel room. Self Catering accommodation offers private bathroom, full kitchen facilities and separate lounge area with TV. Tickets are selling fast, and Room Only accommodation is available in 4, 5, and 6 berth rooms, and Self Catering accommodation is also available in 4, 6, and 7 berths.In Between Days
This will be the second of two festival weekends from ATP this December. The curators for the first weekend (3rd - 5th Dec) will be announced on the 9thApril. ATP will also be repeating last year's In Between Days event, which runs at Butlins between the two weekend festivals and features intimate performances from a range of bands. Details of In Between Days will also be announced on the 9th.All tickets include a 3-day festival pass and 3 nights accommodation. Ticket includes performances starting from mid-afternoon, with around 40 acts set to play live across the weekend. There are four pubs and DJ sets through till late.
On site
Butlins Minehead looks out across a sandy beach. The site is equipped with a supermarket, newsagent, cash points and restaurants. Onsite facilities include an ATP programmed cinema, Splash Water World - a sub-tropical environment that has a wave pool, a swimming pool, 3 flumes and also a flume based raft ride - Ten-pin bowling and amusement arcade. Sports include Archery, Football, Basketball, Darts, Petanque, Fencing, Kwik Cricket, Netball, Rounders, Table Tennis, Outdoor Bowls and Crazy Golf.Getting There by Road
Heading north the simplest route is to take the M5 to Taunton (Junction 25), then take the A358 and A39 to Minehead. Heading south on the M5, you can follow the signposts for the A39 from junction 24. Butlins Minehead Holiday Camp is just half a mile along the seafront road from Minehead town centre.Getting There by Train
If travelling by train, the nearest main line station to Minehead is Taunton. A bus transfer service is operated by Southern National between Taunton Station and Minehead. This service is available at an additional cost. On Mondays to Saturdays, there's approximately an hourly service, with the last bus leaving Taunton Railway Station at 10:15 pm. On Sundays and Bank Holidays services run every 2 hours from 9:35 am - 9:35 pm. For general information call Southern National on 01823 272033.
